Michael Perham
(born 16 March 1992 in Hertfordshire, England) is a boy from Potters Bar who, at the age of 14, became the youngest person to sail the Atlantic Ocean single-handed when he helmed the 29 foot (9 metres) Cheeky Monkey between Gibraltar and Antigua after a 3500-mile voyage. Perham took the Guinness World Record from Seb Clover who crossed when he was 15 in 2003.
But it's not enough for him! Mike is now 16 years old, he can't drive or vote but yesterday set sail from Portsmouth in an attempt to become the youngest person to sail around the world single-handed. A journey of 20000 miles totally alone.
