A Hammered Shark drowned in driftnet followed by sukerfish, the classical photo that tells you much more than thousand words..

Scientists have revealed that nine new species of sharks are to be added to the official list of animals at global risk of extinction. In particular the hammerhead shark had seen its population reduced by 99%(!!!) in the last few years, due to overfishing. Sharks' fins are highly prized as a delicacy in Chinese cooking, and prices can reach as much as £150 per kg. An estimated 100 million sharks are killed every year, with many fishermen simply slicing off their fins before throwing them back into the water where they usually drown or bleed to death.

As usual I just could post a gallery with some good pictures found on the web to show to the all of us what incredible animals we are seriously risking to lose for ever:

When they swim in shoals, Hammerhead Sharks are one of the most impressive natural wonders:

You rock!!!!! Thanks to my brother, I have a better understanding of sharks. I use to think they just killed humans for fun and that was a bad thing. Well now I say: if the sharks kill us for fun, who cares? At the most, AT THE MOST, there are 100 shark atacks A YEAR. We kill OVER 20,000,000 A YEAR!!!!! If I had one wish, it would be that
people would STOP HUNTING SHARKS!! SOS, I say. SAVE OUR SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!

this makes me want to cry): i can't believe some people could do this for something to eat, when i've heard it doesn't even have a taste. basically they're killing just to kill. it makes me sick.

I can not look at those pictures where they had cut of the belly of the mommy shark en took al those cute baby hammerheads out of the belly. It is just not fair! Why do humans always interfere with animals? It is just so sad. It really makes my angry. A human can live without a shark fin in their soop, right??

Also, you can help by making a donation to Wild Aid. They are a organizaton that gets it. They educate the asian countries about the impact of shark fin soup.
