I beg your pardon cause I've been far from the blog for a whole week, as many other times before the reason was that I was very busy taking pictures in two wonderful regattas in Liguria, one of the most beautiful region of Italy.

The first has been the "Regate Pirelli Coppa Carlo Negri 2009" the famous sailing event that takes place in Santa Margherita and Portofino and is one of the most glamourous happening for the sailing world.

This has been a record edition with more than 140 boats!

"Regate Pirelli Coppa Carlo Negri" event has become famous not only for the regattas but also for the glamorous parties that take place in that wonderful jewel that is Portofino. Take a look at these very nice images of this little village in the evening and by night. Portofino was a little fishermen village but now it is widely known as one of the favourite places for VIPs

From the VIPs parties back to the fishermen. On the dockside of the Santa Margherita marina a fisherman took a young Elephant Shark and a huge squid getting the attention of the curious spectators of the regattas:
